Mix Up Art meets Alte Kongresshalle

Munich, 6:30 p.m., snow again. The red carpet is ready. Snowy but ready. The first guests arrive. Passing the whale* and the press wall, one thing is waiting above all else: a lot of art. Art created in the course of the „Mix Up Art“ series of the SkyArts subscription channel. In several episodes, well-known, unknown personalities met here, who pursue a common goal in 48 hours: creating art together. Creativity – unlimited.
The 9 completed works can therefore be admired in the Alte Kongresshalle in Munich and then bought at auction for a good cause. The artists always pose themselves in front of their own pictures in a cosy and atmospheric atmosphere with snacks, drinks and stimulating conversations, telling, pondering and bringing the work to life. The action artist Wolfgang Flatz together with actress Christine Neubauer – the pioneers of the format – created a photo triptych in their 2 days. Worth seeing, unusual and crazy (as well as the extraordinary Munich location of the Austrian Flatz „Heaven7“. #locationtipp).
Other exciting pairings have been brought together by SkyArts for his concept, for example: Video artist Betty Mü meets the Berlin cartoonist Arno Funke alias Dagobert, sculptor Clemens Brocker meets the plastic surgeon Prof. Werner Mang. Rapper Lady Bitch Ray on „Werner“ artist Rötger Feldmann and star hairdresser Udo Walz on performance artist Milo Moiré.
And the *whale, what’s the deal with the marine mammal? It adapts to its temporary „habitat“ – the lobby – with almost millimetre precision. He is now lying there to move something. In the context of the „Sky Ocean Rescue“, he refers to the plastic waste produced daily all over the world. Waste that has far-reaching consequences for people and the environment. He too, the whale this evening, is the centre and at the same time one of many works of art.
Singer Laith Al-Deen, also with a work of art on location, will conclude the evening with a cozy round to his hit and at the same time to the unspoken motto of the evening: „Pictures of you survive – into all time“. That’s right, because of course the SkyArts team also filmed on location (to be seen on SkyArts HD).
