In our days it’s unimaginable to live without electricity. Almost nothing works without it. The international participants of the ElSeC 2017 make sure that we don’t suddenly end up in the dark with no lights whatsoever. The conference is taking place in the heart of Europe in Munich. On the night before the event the shareholders are coming  together in the TSCNET office space for a casual networking evening.
On the conference day approximately 110 representatives of the European electricity security coordinators and energy politics are coming together at the Literaturhaus in the Bavarian capital. Inspired by the gripping presentations, the participants buoyantly network, discuss and interact with each other.  Who’s shaking in the light of a big blackout and who’s keeping a steady hand? They could quickly prove that they’ve got everything under control at the TSCNET Hot Wire.
But then, all of a sudden – Blackout – it’s pitch black in the conference space! What’s only a dramatic staging at our event is described extremely realistic in the book “Blackout” by the author Marc Elsberg who’s a surprise guest at the conference. The pan-European collapse of the power grid – a nightmare scenario.
Good on us that this is only fiction and that the conference participants can round off the day with a relaxed exclusive dinner at the stylish restaurant “Burger and Lobster Bank”.
